Shaun has good size for a 2022 Dual Threat QB at 6’0” 175 lbs. Very agile within the pocket. Able to improvise while on the go. A tough running QB who’s takes on would-be tacklers for added yards. Solid lower body strength.
ACCURACY:
His throws are made with sharp precision, hitting his targets in stride. Remains consistent while on the run, tightening up on his release.Threw for a 70% completion rate last season.
ARM STRENGTH:
He’s a sniper when targeting routes over the middle, hitting his receivers with high velocity throws. Able to extend the field with his deep passes, getting them over the top.
RELEASE:
Shaun throws with an over the top delivery, Able to adjust the velocity of his throws to add a softer touch Increased velocity through his arm motion. Very good footwork on his drop backs and set ups.
THROW ON RUN:
He’s very dangerous out in the open field. Able to get to the outside with good speed and mobility. Does a nice job turning it up as he squares up to his target.
FOOTWORK:
A very athletic QB who serves as a Dual Threat as a result of his quickness and elusiveness. Very difficult to contain within the backfield, good agility and escapability. Runs a 4.7/40.
POISE:
He displays playmaking ability on the field. With his athleticism, he’s able to improvise while on the go. Good awareness of the pressure around his, as well as space. Very confident in his abilities as a QB.Good patience as he waits for his receivers to break on their routes. He works quickly out from the gate, locating his targets while delivering strikes.
DECISION MAKING:
He’s very decisive with his throws, attacking the defense with smart throws.
TOUCH:
He’s able to lower the velocity of his throws, creating a softer release. Would like to see him tighten up on the trajectory of his delivery at long range.
