SIZE:
Shaun has very good size for a 2025 Pro Style QB at 6'3" 165 lbs. A tall lengthy QB who'll continue to develop into his frame. Plays at the varsity level as a Freshman QB. Works well within the pocket, able to get outside with good mobility.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers with good timing and ball placement. Delivers a very catchable ball that comes across with a soft release, getting in between zone coverage. Can work to tighten up on on trajectory at longer distances.
ARM STRENGTH:
Delivers the ball with high velocity at short and intermediate range. Good depth on his deep passes up and over coverage. Quick delivery with a compact three quarter extension.
RELEASE:
An over the top passer with a fully extended delivery which comes across with strong forward momentum.
THROW ON RUN:
For a QB of his size, Shaun works well to the outside, leading with ball in hand as he seeks out potential targets. Can work to improve getting his body in-line with his receivers.
FOOTWORK:
Displays good lateral movement while creating additional space for himself. Can work to sharpen up on his footing on his dropbacks and set ups, with will add to his accuracy.
POISE:
He’s very calm under pressure, showing patience. Does a nice job picking up on the defensive pressure, moving laterally when needed.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Not easily distracted with the noise around him. As if its just him and his receivers on the field. Good agility in and around the pocket, able to create added space for himself.
DECISION MAKING:
His accuracy is helped by his ability to locate his best option receiver, making the right call and hitting the mark quickly. As he continues at the Varsity level he'll be able to perfect working through his progressions.
TOUCH:
His best attribute as a QB. Delivers a catchable ball with tight rotational spin.
