SIZE:
Shea has very good size for a 2022 Pro Style QB at 6’2” 198 lbs. He’s a pure pocket passer who’s very comfortable in the backfield. A strong armed QB who gets the ball to his receivers in a hurry. Very durable QB, should pick up added bulk to his frame over the next couple weeks.
ACCURACY:
Shea has perfected the ability to get the ball to a certain area on the field, with very good timing and anticipation. He’s throws include very good ball placement.
ARM STRENGTH
Very good arm strength, able to make throws of high velocity over the middle as well as over the top with long range. Possess a vertical game that needs to be respected.
RELEASE:
He throws with an over the top delivery, held back at three quarters, making for a compact quick release. Extended arm motion, adding distance.
THROW ON RUN:
Good lateral movement getting to the outside as he works to pin down a target. Good rotation as he squares up towards his receiver. Strong forward momentum upon his release.
FOOTWORK:
Very good agility in and around the pocket. He moves well laterally, while creating added space for himself. He shows good speed and quickness, able to serve as a runner on short yard situation.
POISE:
Good patience as he waits for his receiver’s breaks on their routes. He’s got the right tools to become an elite QB.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very comfortable as pocket passer, he’s skilled in his ability to throw the ball at certain locations, prior to the receiver making his cut. Does a nice job picking up defensive pressure.
DECISION MAKING:
He does a nice job working through primary to secondary outlets. Able to pick up on the coverage and hitting his best option.
TOUCH:
A strong throwing QB who can take something off the velocity of his throws for an added touch.
