SIZE:
TJ has very good size for a 2022 Dual Threat QB at 6'1" 203 lbs. He’s a tall presence in the backfield, solid frame to allow for durability. He displays very good vision downfield, connecting with his primary targets. Throws with an over the top release, adding height to his delivery.
ACCURACY:
This is an area of strength for TJ, making throws in-line with his receivers with good ball placement. Very consistent delivery with solid throwing mechanics. Does a nice job anticipating his receivers route running, hitting them with good timing and placement.
ARM STRENGTH:
Very impressed with the range of TJ's throws, able to make plays 40 yds downfield. Strong throws at the intermediate range with increased forward momentum and velocity. Very capable deep threat QB, delivering bombs over coverage.
RELEASE:
His throws come from over the top with a high release point, Very good throwing mechanics which are consistent and rhythmic.
THROW ON RUN:
He displays solid footwork getting to the outside and squares up nicely but I would like to see a quicker release from the pocket along with added speed and balance.
FOOTWORK:
Shows good agility within the pocket, able to side step the incoming pressure. Very good vision while on the run, able to work his way around traffic. Well balanced stride on his drop backs.
POISE:
Shows confidence in his abilities as a QB, not afraid to take chances downfield. Good patience in the pocket as he waits for things to open up.
POCKET PRESENCE:
TJ does a nice job picking up on defensive pressure, able to step up when needed. Very calm under pressure, not fazed by the traffic around him.This QB knows how to locate his best option receiver while delivering a strike without hesitation. TJ works well through his progressions.
TOUCH:
He’s able to create a soft release at short range and in between zone coverage. Displays a tight trajectory on his deep passes allowing for minimal drag.
