SIZE:
Thomas has very good size for a 2029 Pro Style at 5'11” 155 lbs. He stands tall in the pocket showing good patience and durability. Delivers the ball with a high release point, adding lift to his throws.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in line with his receivers. Delivers a catchable ball with just enough air underneath. Can work to tighten up on his throwing motion for added consistency.
ARM STRENGTH:
With size comes arm strength. He can fire it in at high velocity at short range, while extending the field with bombs at long distance.
RELEASE:
Thomas has an over the top delivery, able to get good extension on his release. Solid footwork prior to set up which adds to his accuracy.
THROW ON RUN:
Displays good vision while working outside the pocket. Picks up on his target as to squares up with directional swing.
FOOTWORK:
Well balanced stride on his drop backs. Not considered a dual threat but can serve as a running QB in short yardage situation.
POISE:
Capable of picking up on incoming pressure as he creates space for himself. Calm under pressure, while maintaining his focus on executing the play.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good agility in and around the pocket, exposing weaknesses, delivering soft tosses in and over coverage.
DECISION MAKING:
Thomas is an intelligent QB, able to hit on big play opportunities. Does a good job locating soft spots in the defense.
TOUCH:
This is an area of strength. Soft toss on fade routes while adjusting the velocity of his throws.
