SIZE:
Vaughn has very good size for a 2023 Dual Threat QB at 6’3” 170 lbs. This QB likes to mix it up. He can hurt you in the air or with his straight forward running game. A tall lengthy QB who'll be able to add bulk onto his frame over the next year. Dual Threat capabilities with 424 Yds rushed last season.
ACCURACY:
With a 61% pass completion last season, Vaughn’s able to get the ball to his receivers with good anticipation and timing. He’s actually very accurate on his deep passes, showing tight trajectory, in line with his receivers.
ARM STRENGTH:
This is an area of strength for Vaughn. Able to make throws at 50 yards out. His throws made at short/intermediate range includes high velocity throws that reach his targets in a hurry.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion. He gets that ball way up high on its release.
THROW ON RUN:
Very impressed with his ability to make plays while on the run. Very athletic QB who displays good speed and quickness getting to the outside.
FOOTWORK:
This QB likes to mix things up, not your typical pocket passer. He shows good lateral movement, using the entire field. Solid footwork on his step backs and set ups.
POISE:
He loves playing the game, very competitive on the field with good leadership. He shows good patience in the pocket, waiting for the play to fully develop.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Vaughn does a nice job picking up on incoming pressure, working within traffic as he seeks out open spaces. Very good vision downfield while in the pocket.
DECISION MAKING:
An intelligent QB who’s capable of going through his progressions as he works down from primary to secondary targets.
TOUCH:
This is another area of strength for Vaughn. He able to take something off his throws by adding a softer release in certain passing situations.
