Scouting Report

SIZE:
Zaire has good size for a 2021 Dual Threat QB at 5'10" 200 lbs. He’s a tough competitor on the field with a strong desire to win. He controls the pace of the game by his play. A playmaker on the field seeking out big play opportunities.
ACCURACY:
He can hit on anywhere on the field. Whether it comes from on the run or in the pocket, he shows good accuracy. Very good throwing mechanics and consistency.
ARM STRENGTH:
He can let it rip for way back with high velocity throws, releasing darts throughout the field. His vertical passing game is deadly because of the threat of his running ability. Increased acceleration on his delivery.
RELEASE:
Zaire throws the ball with an over the top delivery and an arm motion that comes from way back. Because of this, he’s able to gain momentum upon his delivery. Very good balance and footwork prior to set up.
THROW ON RUN:
Able to get to the outside in a hurry, seeking out potential targets while getting there. Very dangerous out in the open field because of his dual threat capabilities.
FOOTWORK:
He’s very elusive out in the open field, with spins and quickness. Very difficult to contain. Shows good vision while on the run.
POISE:
He shows good awareness of the defensive pressure, able to move away from the traffic. Good patience in the pocket, waiting for his receivers to complete their routes.
POCKET PRESENCE:
He’s very comfortable in the backfield, whether setting up for deliver or shifting to the outside for a quick hitter. Able to step up in the pocket or move laterally when needed.
DECISION MAKING:
Does a good job going through his progressions while on the fly. An intelligent QB who seeks out big gain opportunities. Very decisive with his throws.
TOUCH:
Good touch in all areas of the field, short, intermediate and long. He’s skilled at taking something off the velocity of his throws when needed.
