Zion has very good size for a 2024 Dual Threat QB at 6'1" 170 lbs. A playmaker who can turn it up at any given moment. Difficult to contain within the pocket, most dangerous while on the go. Super athletic, track runner, runs a 4.56/40, verified.
ACCURACY:
Able to maintain his accuracy, whether he’s in the pocket or on the run. Very good body positioning as he sets up for delivery. His throws are right on the mark, with good location and timing. Excellent anticipation of receivers routes.
ARM STRENGTH:
Zion's throws are made of high velocity and an accelerated arm motion. A strong armed QB who can let it rip to anywhere on the field. Extends the field with strong vertical throws or can thread the needle within coverage.
RELEASE:
He throws with an over the top delivery and a fully extended arm release, getting the ball across in a hurry. The ball comes off quickly, restricting the defense’s reaction time.
THROW ON RUN:
Zion can punish a defense with his ability to keep a play alive while on the run. He can hurt you with either his legs or his arm, very hard to defend.
FOOTWORK:
A legit Dual Threat, with quickness, elusiveness and vision. A nice compliment to his passing game. A playmaker who’s can improvise while on the run.
POISE:
Very focused, he thrives on chaos and is very instinctive. Shows good awareness of defensive pressure as he works well around it.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very good agility in and around the pocket, able to get away from traffic while seeking out a safe zone for himself.
DECISION MAKING:
Does a nice job working through his options while surveying the field. Able to make smart decisions while on the run.
TOUCH:
Makes the right adjustments to his delivery as he works to create a softer release. His deep passes include tight trajectory with just enough air underneath.
