Hunter has excellent size for a 2020 Pro Style QB at 6’3" 167 lbs. A very tall presence in the backfield, able to see the entire field. Shows very good footwork and agility for a QB of his size. Should be college ready in size when entering the collegiate level in a few years, adding more bulk to his frame.
His throws are made with good ball location and timing, making completions that are in-line with his receivers. Able to hit his targets in all areas of the field with good trajectory. He loses some accuracy on the deep ball but still in range for his receivers to make a play on the ball.
Hunter can make every throw expected of him. Increased accelerated arm motion, allows for throws made with high velocity at the short and intermediate range. Very effective vertical passing game, with strong throws that extend the field.
Skilled at making the right adjustments on the angle of his throws, depending on the passing situation. He’s an over the top passer who can go from a fully extended arm motion down to a tight three quarter delivery. Much improved from last season, going from a three-quarter motion to fully extended.
THROW ON RUN:
Hunter displays good quickness and speed getting to the outside and is very good at picking up potential targets.
He’s a long stride runner who can pick up chunks of yardage in a hurry. Shows good footwork on his drop backs and prior to set up.
Proved himself this past season as a Varsity starter. Shows good awareness of defensive pressure around him, able to create added space for himself within the pocket. Very confident in his QB abilities, able to lead his team downfield.
Good sense of the traffic around him while keeping focused on the play. Solid footwork on his drop backs and setups.
He’s a quick thinking QB who’s capable of reading the defense and locating his best option receiver. Works well through his progressions. Sometimes throws the ball into tight coverage.
His does a nice job making the right adjustments on the velocity of his throws, creating a softer touch when needed.
