I play football mainly, with basketball and lacrosse on the side. I am 6'0 currently and am projected at 6'3 or 6'4 when I am done. I have played quarterback since 3rd grade for flag football, and tackle since 7th and earned my start at the start of last year, 8th and held it all year. Basketball and lacrosse are what have given me my speed and agility, which has helped me either beat or compete with the skill positions on the team, and I am considering doing track year to continue doing so. Throwing has come naturally to me since the time I picked up a football, when I am warmed up I can throw the ball through tight windows with ease and on a good throw get around 45-50 yards. Next year will be my first year of high school, which my team will replace the team before us that went 9-0. My goal is to remain the starter for next year and possibly move up to JV or varsity 1 year early, tighten my spiral, and improve my mental poise which I believe will come with experience in the coming years.

Gavin has excellent size for a 2022 Dual Threat QB at 6'0" 160 lbs. A tall presence in the backfield. He throws with a higher release point, allowing for added height. A strong running QB’s who takes on would-be tacklers for additional yards.
When he has the time and space to set up, his throws are in-line with his receivers. He works well with his receivers, leading them while still in stride.
He shows good range, able to hit within the short and intermediate range. A proven vertical passing game which keeps the defense honest.
Gavin throws with an over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion. Would like to see a tighter spiral on his throws, allowing for less air underneath.
THROW ON RUN:
He’s does a nice job getting to the outside as he locates his targets. An athletic QB who displays good quickness and speed on the run.
This will be an area of improvement, working on a quicker first step. Shows proper footing prior to set up along with solid lateral movement.
He does a nice job picking up on defensive pressure, able to avoid the rush. With more game experience, Gavin will gain stronger confidence in his abilities.
He’s able to step up or move laterally if needed. Keeps the play alive by creating added space for himself.
Very decisive with his throws. He’ll be able to work on going through his progressions with more game experience at the high school level. Sometimes throws the ball in tight coverage.
This is an area of strength for Gavin. He does a nice job creating a soft release, especially at the short and intermediate range. Can reduce the amount of air underneath his deep passes, creating a tighter trajectory.
