Rashad has good size for a 2019 Dual Threat QB at 5’11” 180 lbs. A playmaker on the field, with the ability to control the flow of the game. He's a strong running QB who takes on would-be tacklers for additional yards. Very patient in the backfield as he waits for a play to develop, willing to take the hit.
His throws are on time and in-line with his receivers. Rashad is very skilled at making plays while on the run, but he does lose some accuracy, not able to set up properly. Threw at 58% this past season, which is within range for a Dual Threat QB, but can work to improve on.
This is a strong attribute. He's able to fire the ball into the secondary with high velocity, within tight areas of space. His vertical passing game is solid with throws up and over the coverage, adding a nice touch.
Rashad throws with an over the top delivery with a high release point. Able to generate increased momentum throughout his arm motion. Throwing mechanics are consistent and very well put together.
THROW ON RUN:
He's the ideal Dual Threat, a proven pocket passer with the ability to take it in and go. He’s extremely dangerous out on the open field with quick footwork and elusiveness.
An athletic QB who is also very competitive. He displays a quick first step and can turn up the burners when needed. Excellent footwork within the pocket, moving quickly laterally as he works to create space.
Another area of strength for Rashad. He's very comfortable in the pocket, showing good patience and awareness. Able to block out the noise around him as he seeks out opportunities downfield.
Uses the entire backfield as he creates added space for himself. Very good at escaping defensive pressure, serving as a playmaker on the fly.
A very intelligent QB who works through his progressions with sound judgement. He’s very decisive when he sees a weakness within coverage.
This is the area I'm very impressed with. He's able to make the right adjustments to the velocity of his throws, adding for a softer delivery. Delivers a perfect trajectory on his deep passes, just over the defender.
