Chris has excellent size for a 2019 Pro Style QB at 6'2" 220 lbs. He displays good vision, able to see the entire field, from sideline to sideline. He’s a tall presence in the backfield with a solid frame to allow for durability.Throws with an over the top release, adding height to his delivery.
This is a major strength for Chris, who threw with an 62% completion rate last season. He’s very consistent with his delivery as well as his footwork, prior to set up. Does a nice job anticipating his receivers route running, hitting them with good timing and placement.
Chris is able to make throws in all areas of the field. He's able to extend the field with deep passes downfield as well as making throws with high velocity at short range. He does tend to hang his throws a bit longer than I'd like to see. Opportunity for improvement on the trajectory of his delivery.
His throws come from over the top with a high release point. Able to adjust the velocity of his throws, whether its at a three-quarter position or fully extended. A quick hitting QB who displays consistency and rhythm.
This is an area in which Chris can work to improve on. He displays solid footwork getting to the outside and squares up nicely but I would to see a quicker release from the pocket along with added speed and momentum.
Shows good agility within the pocket, able to side step the incoming pressure. Very consistent footing on his drop backs. He can work to improve on the overall speed of his game.
Shows confidence in his abilities as a QB, not afraid to take chances downfield. He does a nice job getting the ball off before the pocket collapses.
Able to pick up on defensive pressure. Very calm under pressure, not fazed by the traffic around him.Chris delivers the ball with very good location, able to keep it away from defenders. He's a quick hitting QB who's able to pick up on his initial target.
This is an area of strength for Chris, he's able to create a soft touch on his throws, making for a very catchable ball to his receivers.
