Trenton has very good size for a 2019 Pro Style QB at 6’3” 185 lbs. Throws with a tall platform with exceptional height on the ball. He works the entire backfield, with good laterally movement as he creates added space for himself. Shows good vision as he surveys the field, making passes that include a high release. Will add more bulk to his frame over the next couple years before entering the collegiate level.
When he sets up for delivery, he’s right on the mark. Good anticipation of his receivers routes with very good placement. He tends to lose a bit of accuracy while on the run. Would like to see him get his feet properly set prior to delivery on the run.
Trenton gets good height and distance on his throws. With his long arm extension, he’s able to get the ball over defensive coverage. Strong throws made at the short and intermediate range. Can work to lower the trajectory of his deep passes, allowing for less air underneath.
He throws with an over the top delivery, along with an arm motion that’s fully extended. His release point is raised above, giving his throws extra lift.
THROW ON RUN:
This is an area which Trenton can work to improve on. He's an athletic QB who does a nice job getting to the outside, displaying good vision and ability to follow his receivers routes. Strong forward momentum on his delivery which are in-line with his receivers.
Good mobility in either direction in the backfield. He shows good agility as he works to avoid traffic while creating space for himself. Can improve on creating a quicker first step along with speed.
A QB with raw talent, he'll be able to polish up on his skills these next couple years. Shows good patience as he waits for the play to develop. He’s not easily distracted by the pressure around him, while staying focused on the play.
Good awareness of defensive pressure and well as the space around him. A tall presence in the backfield with good vision.
While on the go, Trenton's able to zone in on his best option receiver. He a quick hitting QB, who wastes very little time connected with his target. Does a nice job working through his progressions.
This is an area of skill for Trenton. He's able to make the right adjustments to the velocity of his throws, adding a soft touch to his passes made at short and intermediate range. Would like to see a tighter trajectory.
