I have been playing football since I was four years old, and been a starting QB since 2nd grade. It has always been a goal of mine to play college football. I grew up watching Tim Tebow and the Florida Gators. His dual threat ability, heart and determination have inspired the way I play. I have worked hard to be a college QB by improving my speed, strength and size, and I also have an excellent understanding of the game. I am coachable, hard working, smart, and I continue to strive to get better. Since I am not the biggest player on the field, I have learned to work harder than anyone else. I plan to go to college and graduate with a BS in Finance, and will be an asset to your program academically and athletically. If you're concerned about my size, studies have shown that short QB's do just as well if not better than the tall ones when we are given a shot. Though it's harder to evaluate my command of the mental aspects of the game, that is my strength, and in practice what is going on between your QB's ears is a lot more important than how far they are from the ground. https://www.cleveland.com/datacentral/index.ssf/2017/02/stats_show_shorter_nfl_quarter.html

Sam stands in at 5'9" 140 lbs for a 2020 Dual Threat QB. What he lacks in size he makes up for in heart and determination. He stands tall in the pocket, able to survey the field for potential targets. High release point, adding height to his delivery. Should be able to add bulk to his frame over the next couple years as he preps for the collegiate level.
Works well within the flow of the game. Does a great job leading his receivers, adding a soft touch on his release. His throws are in-line with his receivers with a tight spiral and zip on the ball. Loses a bit on his deep passes.
He gets the ball out in a hurry, leaving the defense with very little time to react. Hard throws within the secondary including strong velocity. A solid vertical passing game, allowing for things to open up in the short game.
An over the top delivery with a high release point. The ball is held back all the way with a fully extended arm motion, able to generate strong momentum upon release. Good footwork on his dropbacks and setups.
THROW ON RUN:
Sam's an athletic QB with very good lateral movement. He gets off the block quickly while assessing the passing situation downfield. Good rotation of body, squaring up to target.
He has a quick first step, showing good balance and rhythm on his dropbacks. He can serve as a Dual Threat when needed, displaying good speed and quickness out on the open field. A north/south runner, picking up every possible yard.
Very confident in his abilities as a QB. He trusts his instincts, able to keep plays alive while showing off his creativity.
Shows good patience in the backfield, able to sit back and wait for the play to develop. Able to pick up defensive pressure, able to create space for himself.
This will be an area of strength for Sam, he able to pick up on defensive coverages while seeking out high percentage opportunities. Works well from his primary to secondary outlets.
This is another area in which he excels. Sam's throws are make with a soft touch, whether its over defensive coverage or in between zone coverage, he’s able to hit his target with good trajectory and adjustment to his velocity.
