SIZE:
Trae has good size for a 2027 Dual Threat QB at 4'10" 90 lbs. We've got a good one here! A playmaker on the field, able to do just about anything he wants. A pure Dual Threat QB, effective as a pocket passer and as a running QB.
ACCURACY:
This is an area of strength for Trae, his throws are made with precision. Shows good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes. Excellent ball location, up and away from defenders. Deadly over the middle.
ARM STRENGTH:
His throws within the secondary are made with high velocity, able to hit his targets in between tight windows of space. Solid vertical passing game, very tight trajectory on his deep passes, with juts enough air underneath.
RELEASE:
He throws with an over the top delivery. Able to give his throws added height with fully extended arm motion. Quick release through his delivery, generating increased momentum.
THROW ON RUN:
Trae seems very comfortable on the run. Would like to see him handle to ball closer to his body with two hands but everything else is right on. Very good at locating a potential target downfield while on the run:
FOOTWORK:
He's very good on his drop backs and set ups. At times a little inconsistent but that will be improved on with more reps. Very balanced and in control while on the go.
POISE:
An area of strength for Trae. Very focused and committed to the play. A leader on the field, able to lead his team downfield. Shows good awareness of the space around him.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Shows very good patience, sits in the pocket as he follows the play all the way through.Very decisive with his throws, does a nice job getting the ball to his best option receivers.
TOUCH:
Very good touch on all his throws. Able to ease off the velocity of his throws for an added touch. At his age, the trajectory of his throws are almost spot on. Most younger QB's leave extra air underneath their throws, not Trae.
