My name is Aidan Thompson, and I am from Abilene, Texas. I am a 15-year-old Sophomore 6’-4”, 180 lbs starting pro-style quarterback at Abilene Cooper High School (District 2-5A DI UIL Texas). I am a student-athlete who plays multiple sports. I am serious about my education and I currently have a GPA of 3.83 out of 4 while taking Advanced Placement classes. Being a student athlete at the next-level has always been my dream, and I believe that I have the discipline and the work ethic to make this dream a reality. My first year at Cooper was great, and I am excited about my next 3 years of high school. I intend to make every practice, lift, meeting, and game an opportunity to get stronger—mentally and physically—and better, putting myself in the best possible position to make a positive impact on the team I am blessed to be a part of.

Aidan has excellent size for a 2021 Pro Style QB at 6’4” 180 lbs. A very tall presence in the backfield, able to oversee the entire field for potential targets. He throws with a fully extended arm release, able to add even more height to his throws. Very good agility within the pocket, especially for a QB of his size. His potential as an elite QB is unlimited.
His throws are made with great timing and location, allowing for his receivers to make a play on it. Would be able to improve on his accuracy further with proper footwork prior to set up.
He's able to hit in all areas of the field with solid arm strength. Strong throws at short and intermediate range. He can let it rip at short range or let it fly at long distances with good trajectory.
Aidan throws with an over the top delivery, coming with a fully extended arm motion on the deep balls and a compact delivery a short range. Very good footwork on drop backs, can work to improve footing on set ups.
THROW ON RUN:
Shows good mobility as he works to the outside, able to adjust the rotation of his body, getting it in-line with his receivers. Good movement for a QB of his size.
Solid footwork on his drop backs, showing good stride and balance. Good agility in and around the pocket, creating added space for himself.
Aidan shows good patience in the backfield, waiting for the play to fully develop. He shows good awareness of defensive pressure, able to step up in the pocket.
Throws with a tall platform, able to survey the entire field for potential targets. There is no distance that he can’t hit on.
Aidan does a nice job working through his progressions, going from his primary to secondary outlets. Very good read on the defense as he hits on his primary target.
Very good touch at every level. He’s able to adjust the velocity of his throws when the passing situation calls for it.
