SIZE:
Chase has good size for a 2021 Pro Style QB at 6’1” 170 lbs. He stands tall in the pocket, firing bullets into the secondary for his intended targets. Shows good patience in the pocket while waiting on his receivers or can maneuver in and out for added space.
ACCURACY:
He gives his receivers the ability to make a play on the ball. His throws are made with a tight spiral, making for a very catchable ball. Good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes. Very consistent with his delivery, adding to his accuracy. Finished the season with a 68% completion rate in Varsity play.
ARM STRENGTH:
This is not an issue for Chase, his high velocity throws get to his receivers in a hurry. The defense is left with no time to react. He can fire the ball into tight windows of space or let it fly over defensive coverage.
RELEASE:
Chase throws with an over the top delivery. A fully extended arm motion, while getting the ball across quickly. He’s able to fling that ball like a boomerang, getting it off in a hurry.
THROW ON RUN:
Very athletic QB who can be quite dangerous out in the open. He serves as a potential dual threat when the situation calls for it, shifting gears in a hurry. Shows excellent vision downfield while on the run.
FOOTWORK:
Difficult to contain within the pocket, able to slide laterally for added space and clearer vision. His steps are sharp and his movement is smooth. Quick footwork, on his drop backs and prior to set up.
POISE:
Extremely confident in his abilities as a QB. He controls the pace of a game and can turn it up at any moment, a playmaker. Strong team leader, able to lead his team as State Championship runners up.
DECISION MAKING:
Very decisive with his throws downfield, wasting very little time getting the ball off. Displays a calm aggressiveness while attacking the defense. Taking chances when he sees an opportunity, trusting in his receivers.
Touch:
Chase does a nice job adjusting the velocity of his passes. Can take something off on a fade route or fire it in between defenders. Able to add a softer touch when needed.
