Nick has good size for a 2021 Dual Threat QB at 5’11” 160 lbs. He's an elusive QB who's able to create added space for himself in the pocket. Good quickness around the end with a burst of speed downfield. Should be able to add some bulk to his frame over the next couple years before entering the collegiate level.
His throws are made with the ability for his receivers to make a play on it. They show good ball placement, away from the defender.
Nick gets the ball to his receivers in a hurry. His short and intermediate throws are made with high velocity. I would like to see more from his vertical game, seeing what he’s capable of.
Nick throws with a three quarter extension, getting the ball off in a hurry. He could work to improve on his footwork prior to set up. Would like to see more of a consistent delivery on every throw.
A very athletic QB who can take over a game with his skills. He’s very quick getting to the outside, can be deadly while on the run. Still raw, will need to put in extra work to perfect his craft.
An area of strength while on the run. Very elusive with excellent downfield vision. A quick first step moving in all directions. Great burst of speed and mobility while out in the open field. Creates separation from the defense.
Nick plays well above the competition, able to turn it up at any time. Good awareness of defensive pressure. Will need to polish up certain parts of his game to take it to the next level.
This would be an area of improvement. I would like to see him be more patient in the pocket, waiting for the play to develop before taking off on the run. Shows confidence in his abilities as a passer and runner.
POISE: With more game experience at the QB position, Nick will be more comfortable in his role with the offensive unit. Plays DB as well as WR at times.
Very good instincts while of the run. Able to sense defensive pressure, while creating space for himself. With more reps, he'll be able to work through his progressions as he locates his targets.
Has very good touch, able to get the ball in between zone coverage, making plays with a catchable ball. Can work to improve on the trajectory of his deep ball, allowing for minimal drag.
