Royse City High School - QB - 2022 My goal is to lead the Royse City High School Football program back to the playoffs, while leading the District in all passing categories, and one day be selected into the Royse City Sports Hall of Fame. I hope to compete in the Nike Elite 11 and make it to the Finals. I pray that God will guide me to use my athletic ability as well as my love and knowledge of the game of football to afford me the opportunity to further my education at the highest level and to one day become a Coach. Joe has good size for a 2022 Dual Threat QB at 6’0” 170 lbs. He's very agile within the pocket, able to avoid the incoming rush as he works his way outside. Throws with a high release point, adding height to his delivery. Should be able to add bulk to his frame over these next few years.
His throws are on target with his receivers, hitting them in-line whether he’s stationary or on the run. Threw for a 61% comp rate this past season.
He’s able to generate momentum upon his release, increasing the velocity of his throws at short and intermediate range. Loses a bit of distance at long range.
Joe has an over the top delivery with a high release point. It comes across with a fully extended arm motion. Abel to settle down prior to delivery.
THROW ON RUN:
Very good footwork and quickness as he works his way to the outside. Able to adjust the rotation of his body while getting fixed on his target prior to set up.
Joe is considered a Dual Threat, combining his throwing ability with his running ability. He’s an athletic QB who shows good lateral movement and quickness. An improvement area would be his ability to pickup added yards running within the hash marks vs the outside.
He’s gaining confidence in his abilities as a QB, trusting in his skills. I would like to see him stay in the pocket with more patience as he waits for a play to develop.
Very agile in and around the pocket. He works well in both directions, showing good lateral movement.
Joe's very decisive on his delivery, wasting very little time getting the ball off. Does a nice job locating his receivers while on the fly.
Able to make the right adjustments to the ball's velocity, creating a softer release at short and intermediate range. Would like to see a tighter trajectory on his throws made at longer range.
