When the 2026 class takes the field this fall, there may not be a player out there that college coaches are more excited to see more than Romin Seymour. The Manvel High School quarterback (6-6, 192) has all the skills to be another great one out of the Lone Star State. With offers already in the pocket from Texas A&M, Houston, and Pitt, the rest will follow suit once the 2023 schedule heats up.

Seymour has been preparing for his breakout season this spring playing in 7-on-7 tournaments with Thoroughbred Sports. When the pigskin is passed over to the Manvel coaches, Seymour will be running an Air Raid offense for the Mavericks.

“I’ve been working on my footwork, throwing mechanics, and getting the ball down the field,” Seymour said. “I’m seeing the most improvement with my feet, my drops, and I am anticipating better. I am moving better with my feet under me, moving faster, and moving more fluidly in the pocket.”

Early interest is coming in from Florida, Florida State, and Oklahoma. Some of those teams will welcome the field general to campus soon.

“I’m visiting Houston, A&M, Florida State, and Florida,” Seymour stated.

A bond with the Cougars’ coaching staff has already been developed.

“The coaches at Houston, I enjoy being around them,” Seymour shared. “They are kind-loveable guys. They are genuine.”

Over in College Station, Seymour has a strong rapport with the Aggies’ coaching staff and believes in them.

“Coach (Jimbo) Fisher and coach (Dameyune) Craig (WR) are good guys,” Seymour said. “They know how to develop you. The relationship between us is really good.”

Being a legacy at Florida State with father Roland Seymour on the 1999 championship team, Romin will get a warm welcome from the Seminoles’ staff.

“FSU is my dad’s alma mater, I want to be in the same spot when he won a championship in 1999,” Seymour stated. “I’m excited to meet coach (Mike) Norvell.”

Gators’ head coach Billy Napier has Seymour excited to head to Gainesville.

“I am really excited to go to Florida,” Seymour shared. “I would love to visit there. I enjoy watching them play. I love coach Napier, and I love his style. I am excited to see them play this season. I have worked out with (2024 four-star QB) DJ Lagway; he says a lot of good things about Florida.”
