SIZE:
Stephen has good size for a 2024 Pro Style QB at 6'1" 193 lbs. Excellent throwing mechanics. He’s a quick hitting QB who gets the ball out in a hurry.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, showing very good ball placement. Works well with his receivers as he waits patiently for their breaks. Good anticipation and timing.
ARM STRENGTH:
Displays a strong release on his short and intermediate routes. Good zip on the ball, including a tight spiral. He can spread the field with his deeper passes.
RELEASE:
Stephen throws with a full extension, the ball comes from over the top with strong forward momentum. He gets the ball out in a hurry with fluid throwing motion.
THROW ON RUN:
He does an excellent job working to the outside and making plays downfield. Good body rotation and forward momentum upon release.
FOOTWORK:
He shows very good movement in all directions. A quick first step, getting out of the set position in a hurry. Does a nice job getting his feet set prior to delivery, which adds to his accuracy.
POISE:
In full control of the offense, has a take charge mentality when on the field. Very good leadership skills on the field. Not easily distracted.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Stephen has a very good sense of the space around him. He’s able to get around traffic while still focusing on the play.
DECISION MAKING:
This is an area on strength. He’s aggressive while seeking out opportunities but is very controlled, making smart decisions. He shows confidence, trusting in his abilities as a QB.
TOUCH:
He does a nice job making the proper adjustments to the velocity of his throws. A strong throwing QB who can ease up when he needs to.
