SIZE:
Alex has good size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 5'11" 175 lbs. This QB is very methodical with his passing game. A rhythmic passer who gets the ball to his target in a hurry. Throws with a high release point, adding height to his delivery.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, hitting them in stride. A consistent deliver adds to his accuracy. Very good at picking up the timing and anticipation of his receivers routes.
ARM STRENGTH:
A very deceptive passer who can turn it up with increased acceleration on any given throw. High velocity throws that get to his receivers in a hurry. Solid vertical passing game.
RELEASE:
Alex delivers the ball with a fully extended arm motion which comes out from over the top. A high release point, giving his passes added height.
THROW ON RUN
Alex is most comfortable within the pocket but can also be quite dangerous out in the open field. He maintains the same consistency and velocity on his throws outside the pocket.
POISE:
Very calm demeanor within the pocket as he works to assess the defensive coverage. He doesn’t let the outside noise take his away from his game.
POCKET PRESENCE:
This is where Alex works at his best. He’s calm under pressure, while showing excellent consistency on his throws and good vision downfield.
DECISION MAKING:
He uses every option available to him as he goes from his primary down to his secondary outlets.
TOUCH:
Excellent touch on his throws that are made within zone coverage and well as on the deeper routes. He does a nice job adjusting the velocity of his throws for a softer delivery.
