Scouting Report

Austin has very good size for a 2021 Pro Style QB at 6’2” 185 lbs. A tough running QB who fights for every yard. He’s difficult to contain within the pocket, most dangerous while on the run. Strong throwing QB who fires bullets within the secondary. A very athletic QB with raw talent.
Able to maintain his accuracy, whether he’s in the pocket or on the run. Very good body positioning as he sets to delivery the ball. His throws are right on the mark, with good location and timing.
Austin's throws are made of high velocity and an accelerated arm motion. A strong armed QB who can let it rip anywhere on the field. He can extend the field with his vertical throws or thread the needle within the secondary.
He throws with an over the top delivery and a fully extended arm release, getting the ball across in a hurry. The ball comes off quickly, restricting the defense’s reaction time.
Austin can punish a defense with his ability to keep a play alive while on the run. He can hurt you with either his legs or his arm, very hard to defend.
A nice compliment to his passing game, working well as both a pocket passer and running QB. A play maker who’s can improvise while on the run.
A true leader, leading his team to a 3A State championship. Shows good awareness of the defensive pressure as he works around it. Does a nice job assessing coverage while maintaining his focus downfield.
Austin shows very good agility in and around the pocket, able to get away from traffic while seeking out added space for himself.
This will be an area of improvement over time with more game experience. He does a nice job working through his options while surveying the field. Able to make smart decisions while on the run.
His deep passes include solid trajectory with just enough air underneath. Continues to work and improve on his touch at the short and intermediate range.
