SIZE:
Bennett has very good size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6’3” 185 lbs. He stands in tall in the pocket, showing good patience and toughness. Works out of a spread formation offense, able to deliver quick hitters. Does a nice job moving in and around the pocket with good agility. Confident leader on the field. Plays with a controlled aggressivenss while attacking the defense.
ACCURACY:
Whether he’s on the run or sets up in the pocket, his throws are made with sharp precision. Good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes. Very consistent on his delivery which adds to his accuracy. Sound throwing mechanics.
ARM STRENGTH:
Bennett can fire it into the secondary with high velocity. He throws with a quick release, getting the ball to his receivers in a hurry. Able to thread the needle within zone coverage. A legit vertical passing game, delivering long throws downfield with excellent location.
RELEASE:
His throws are make with an over the top delivery with full extension. Gets his feet set prior to delivery, adding to his accuracy. High release point.
THROW ON RUN:
Bennett's very comfortable in the pocket whether setting up in the pocket or working his way outside. He does a great job maintaining his focus downfield. Good body rotation and forward momentum.
FOOTWORK:
Displays a quick first step, able to move in all directions. He’s not considered a Dual Threat but can pick up yardage on short down situations.
POISE
Bennett's a very confident QB, who’s perfecting his craft with more game experience. Good awareness of the space around him, demonstrating a calm under pressure.
POCKET PRESENCE:
He sets up in a hurry, while showing good patience as he waits for the play to develop, taking the hit soon after. Good awareness of defensive pressure and using his internal clock to get the ball off on time.
DECISION MAKING:
An intelligent QB who’s able to pick up on his best option receiver. Able to work through from his primary target down to his secondary outlets.
TOUCH:
Good touch, easing off the velocity of his delivery. Getting the ball in between zone coverage.
