Scouting Report

Blake has good size for a 2020 Pro Style QB at 6’2” 205 lbs. He’s able to sit back patiently in the pocket as he waits for the play to develop. A tall platform, able to oversee the line of scrimmage. Throws with a high release point, adding height to his throws. Should be able to add bulk to his frame over the next couple years.
His throws are in-line with his receivers, adding good ball placement and anticipation. Tight spirals on his delivery, able to throw a very catchable pass to his receivers.
A strong throwing QB who can turn up the heat when the situation calls for it. High velocity throws made within the secondary, firing the ball in tight windows of space as well as extending the field with his vertical passing game.
Blake throws with an over the top delivery with a three quarter extension. A quick release, allowing for added momentum to his delivery.
An athletic QB who shows good quickness getting to the outside, displaying solid fundamentals while seeking out a target.
Does a nice job setting up in the pocket with a balanced stride and feet placement. Good mobility in and out of the pocket.
Blake's in full control of his offensive unit. Able to lead then downfield while controlling the pace of the game. Very detailed on his set ups, freezing the defense before firing it in. Very confident in his abilities as a QB.
Able to see the entire field for potential targets. Shows good patience and timing with his receivers. Not easily distracted, while remaining focused on the play.
He’s able to hit his primary targets with good reads and decisive throws. With more game experience, Blake should be able to improve on his ability to work through his progressions.
This is an area of strength for Blake, he’s very good at creating a catchable ball with a soft touch. Able to adjust the velocity of his throws at every level, short, intermediate and long.
