SIZE:
Braden has very good size for a 2021 Pro Style QB at 6’2” 185 lbs. A tough competitor who never lets up on a play. He’s difficult to contain within the pocket, most dangerous while on the run.
ACCURACY:
Braden's able to maintain his accuracy, whether he’s in the pocket or on the run. Very good body positioning as he sets to delivery the ball. His throws are right on the mark, with good location and timing. Losses a bit of accuracy, delivering the ball in tight coverage situations.
ARM STRENGTH:
A strong armed QB who can let it rip anywhere on the field. He can extend the field with his vertical throws or thread the needle within zone coverage.
RELEASE:
He throws with an over the top delivery and a fully extended arm release, getting the ball across in a hurry. The ball comes off quickly, restricting the defense’s reaction time.
THROW ON RUN:
Classified as a pocket passer, this QB can punish a defense with his ability to keep a play alive while on the run. He can hurt you with either his legs or his arm, very hard to defend.
FOOTWORK:
Very agile within the pocket, displaying quickness and elusiveness. A nice compliment to his pocket passing game. A playmaker who can take over a game.
POISE:
Braden's not easily distracted by the noise around him, very instinctive. Shows good aware of the defensive pressure as he works around it.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very good agility in and around the pocket, able to get away from traffic while seeking out a safe zone for himself.
DECISION MAKING:
He does a nice job working through his options while surveying the field. Able to make smart decisions while on the run.
TOUCH:
Does a nice job making adjustments to his delivery and he works to create a softer release. His deep passes include solid trajectory with just enough air underneath.
