SIZE:
Braylon has very good size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6’0” 185 lbs. A tall presence in the pocket, able to oversee the entire field for potential targets. A tall lenghty frame for the potential of adding bulk onto his frame. A long stride running QB.
ACCURACY:
Braylon's a very accurate passer, making throws with sharp precision. His throws are made with good timing, a tight spiral and excellent location. Very good throwing mechanics with a consistent delivery. Threw for a 63% completion rate last season.
ARM STRENGTH:
His vertical passing game includes throws made of tight trajectory and long distance. This stretches the defense, which lets him take advantage of gaps within coverage. His intermediate throws are made with strong release and high velocity.
RELEASE:
Braylon throws the ball with an over the top extension, allowing for the ball to rise upon release. He gets the ball over in a hurry. Excellent throwing mechanics with very good footwork upon set up.
THROW ON RUN:
Displays good mobility as he works to the outside with solid footwork and quickness. Squares up with his receivers with strong forward momentum.
FOOTWORK:
He shows good agility in and out of the pocket, good lateral swing in either direction. A pure pocket passer who can take the ball in on short yardage situations.Gets through the defense in a hurry with long stride.
POISE:
He’s very calm under pressure, not letting the noise around him affect his ability to execute the play.
POCKET PRESENCE:
He controls the flow of the game. Good awareness of incoming pressure, able to work around it.Braylon works down from his primary target, down to his secondary outlets. An intelligent QB who has a very good understanding for the game. would like to see more patience in the pocket before taking off.
TOUCH:
Touch passes made at every level, making the proper adjustments to the velocity of his throws.
