SIZE:
Calvin has excellent size for a 2028 Pro Style QB at 6’1” 160 lbs. A durable QB who's very difficult to take down, with lower body strength. His throws include a very high release point, adding lift to his delivery.
ACCURACY:
He’s right on the mark when able to set up in the pocket. Strong throws made with tight rotational spin. Good throwing mechanics, adding to his consistency. Good anticipation of his receivers routes.
ARM STRENGTH:
He displays throws that reach well over downfield coverage. Able to get the ball to his target before the defender has time to react. Generates increased momentum through his fully extended arm motion.
THROW ON RUN:
Calvin's most comfortable as a pocket passer but he can also work to the outside with good mobility. Shows good visibility downfield.
FOOTWORK:
Very good footwork on his drop backs as well as set ups. An athletic QB who shows good mobility for his size. Can pick up good yardage on the run.
POISE:
He’s very calm while in the pocket, able to work through his progressions. Displays confidence in his ability to lead his team downfield. Good feel of pressure, able to side step for added space.
POCKET PRESENCE:
A tall presence in the backfield, capable of seeing clearly over the line of scrimmage. Can hit in all areas of the field with strength in arm.
DECISION MAKING:
Does a nice job seeking out his primary target, releasing the ball without hesitation.
TOUCH:
For a QB of Calvin's size, he’s very good at adding a soft touch to his throws, especially at long range.
