Scouting Report

SIZE:
Colton has excellent size for a 2028 Pro Style QB at 6’1” 175 lbs. Delivers the ball from a tall platform. With his size, comes a strong arm. His throws include a very high release point, adding lift to his throws.
ACCURACY:
He’s on the mark with his throws made at the short and intermediate range. Sound throwing mechanics which are consistent on every throw, whether stationary or on the run. Good anticipation of his receivers routes.
ARM STRENGTH:
A very dangerous vertical passing game. He displays throws that reach well over coverage. High velocity throws that are made within the secondary, squeezing in between tight windows of space. Able to generate momentum through his fully extended arm motion.
THROW ON RUN:
Colton's most comfortable as a pocket passer. He can work to the outside with good mobility if needed but he works best in the pocket, where he shows good vision and a knack for locating his primary target.
FOOTWORK:
Very good footwork on his dropbacks as well as his set ups. An athletic QB who shows good mobility for his size.
POISE:
He’s very calm while in the pocket, able to work through his progressions patiently. He shows confidence in his ability to lead his team down the field. Good feel of pressure, able to side step for added space.
POCKET PRESENCE:
A tall presence in the backfield, able to see clearly over the line of scrimmage. He can hit in any area of the field with strength in arm.
DECISION MAKING:
Does a nice job seeking out his primary target, releasing the ball without hesitation. Works well through his progressions.
TOUCH:
He does a nice job making the right adjustments to the velocity of his throws, creating for a softer release when needed.
