SIZE:
Daron stands in at 6'2" 187 lbs for 2021 Pro Style QB. He may not be the tallest player on the field, but he's stands in the pocket with a tall platform, able to see the entire field. Throws with a fully extended release, giving the ball added height. Should be able to add to his size over the next few years.
ACCURACY:
This is an area in which he excels in. Able to hit his receivers with passes that are in-line and catchable with tight spirals. Shows good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes. Threw for a 65% completion rate this past season.
ARM STRENGTH:
He can hit on all areas of the field, making throws with a long swooping delivery that gets across quickly with good velocity. Throws made across the middle with high velocity. Solid vertical passing game.
RELEASE:
Daron has an over the top delivery that comes across with a fully extended arm release. Able to generate momentum through his arm motion, creating greater velocity throws.
THROW ON RUN:
Daron's most comfortable within the pocket, but can take it to the outside with solid footwork and mobility. His throws are made with precision, able to maintain his accuracy while on the run. His throwing mechanics are consistent in any passing situation.
FOOTWORK:
Good agility in and around the pocket. Shows good speed moving laterally as he tries to create additional space for himself. This can be an area of improvement with increased speed and quickness.
POISE:
He shows strong confidence as a Varsity starting QB, leading his team to a State championship as a Sophomore. Displays the calm and patience needed to get through difficult situations.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Daron seeks out every opportunity downfield before throwing in the towel. Extending the play with his ability to navigate himself around the pocket for added space.
DECISION MAKING:
A very intelligent QB who’s able to read the defense and locate his best option receiver. Very aggressive with his throws but he makes sure that the ball gets there in a hurry with solid ball placement.
TOUCH:
Daron’s skilled at making the right adjustments with his throws, either by adding extra mustard for high velocity throws or by taking something off for a soft touch.
