SIZE:
Davin has excellent size for a 2026 Pro Style QB at 6’2" 175 lbs. A competitive QB who plays well above the level of competition. Has all the right tools to become an elite QB, just needs to put it all together. Strong running QB.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, showing good ball placement. Works well with his receivers as he waits for their breaks. Will add to his accuracy with consistency to his delivery.
ARM STRENGTH:
Good zip on the ball with a tight rotational spin. He can spread the field with strong throws of high velocity. Dangerous vertical passing game with long throws over coverage.
RELEASE:
Davin delivers the ball with full extension that comes from over the top. He gets the ball out in a hurry, which a fluid throwing motion. Can work to sharpen up on his throwing motion.
THROW ON RUN:
He does an excellent job getting to the outside and making a play downfield. Good body rotation and forward momentum upon release.
FOOTWORK:
Good movement in all directions. Not classified as a Dual Threat but can dangerous out in the open field because of his athleticism.
POISE:
In full control of the offense, has a take charge mentality when on the field. Very good leadership skills on the field. Not easily distracted.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good sense of the space around him. He’s able to get around traffic while still focusing on the play.
DECISION MAKING:
Able to improvise on the go. Will add to his understanding of defensive schemes at the high school level.
TOUCH:
Tight trajectory on long throws made downfield.
