SIZE
Dwight has good size for a 2027 Dual Threat QB at 5'10" 150 lbs. He shows good toughness in the pocket as he waits for the play to develop. Works fluidly from a pocket passer to a running QB. High release point allowing for the ball to gain added lift upon release.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, with good ball placement. Can work to tighten up on his throwing motion, creating consistency in delivery. This will add to his accuracy.
ARM STRENGTH
Very good arm strength, able to reach all areas of the field with high velocity. Doesn’t lose much while on the run. Able to squeeze the ball in tight areas of space while extending the field at long range.
RELEASE:
His throws are made with an over the top, fully extended arm motion. High release point, allowing for added height to his throws.
THROW ON RUN
Displays good quickness and speed getting to the outside, serving as a Dual Threat. Able to go in either direction, pass or run. Squares up evenly with target.
FOOTWORK:
He’s very active in the pocket and shows good speed and quickness out in the open field.
POISE:
Good control of the offense with the ability to lead his unit downfield. He’s very focused while executing the play.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very comfortable within the pocket, able to stand tall in the pocket while he surveys the field. Good job reading the defense while on the go.
DECISION MAKING:
This is an area Dwight will work to perfect with more game experience. Making throws at high percentage. A quick thinker while on the go.
TOUCH
Tight trajectory on his deep passes with just enough air underneath the ball. He can work to add a softer touch in between zone coverage.
