Elijah has excellent size for a 2024 Dual Threat QB at 6'6" 185 lbs. This QB can hurt you in so many ways. He's a legit Dual Threat who can turn it up at any moment. He’s a quick hitting QB who gets the ball out in a hurry.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, showing good ball placement. Works well with his receivers while waiting for their breaks. Good anticipation and timing.
ARM STRENGTH:
Displays a strong delivery on his short and intermediate routes. Good zip on the ball, including a tight spiral. He can spread the field with long throws downfield.
RELEASE:
Elijah throws with a full extension, the ball comes from over the top. He gets the ball out in a hurry with a fluid throwing motion.
THROW ON RUN:
For a QB of his size, he displays good mobility getting to the outside and making plays downfield. Good body rotation and strong forward momentum upon release.
FOOTWORK:
Displays good balance and stride on his dropbacks and set ups. Good speed and quickness added to his game.
POISE:
He's a leader on and off the field. Continues to improve his game week by week.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good sense of the space around him. Works well around traffic while remaining focus on the play. Would like to see more patience in the pocket before taking off.
DECISION MAKING:
Elijah does a nice job hitting on his primary receivers from his reads of the defense. Would like to see more patience in the pocket while waiting for the play to develop.
TOUCH:
Tight trajectory on his long range throws. Works well to ease off the velocity of his throws at shorter range for added touch.
