SIZE:
Hudson has very good size for a 2024 Pro Style QB at 6'1" 200 lbs. Stands tall in the pocket, showing good vision of the entire field. He throws with a high release point, adding height to his throws. A quick hitting QB who picks up on initial reads.
ACCURACY:
His throws are right on the mark, on target and in-line with his receivers. Showing good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes with good ball location. When he sets up in the pocket, he's very accurate. Remains consistent while on the run.
ARM STRENGTH:
High velocity throws at short and intermediate range. Dangerous vertical passing game with throws made of tight trajectory.
RELEASE:
Hudson's throwing motion is consistent, including an over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion. Solid footwork prior to set up.
THROW ON RUN:
Very good quickness to the outside while maintaining his vision downfield. Squares up towards his receivers prior to delivery.
FOOTWORK:
Displays good mobility in and around the pocket, moving fluidly in all directions. Improved footwork on his drop backs, well balanced.
POISE:
His confidence level is building with more game experience at the varsity level. Able to lead his team down the field with strong leadership.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Shows good patience within the pocket, following through on the play. Not easily distracted by the noise around him.
DECISION MAKING:
He does a nice job picking up on his receivers routes and hitting them in stride. Works well through his progressions.
TOUCH:
This is an area of strength for Hudson. He’s able to make adjustments to the velocity of his throws to add a softer touch when needed.
