SIZE:
Hunter has good size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6’1” 176 lbs. This QB controls the pace of the game with his play. He's extremely calm within the pocket, waiting patiently for big play opportunities. Should be able to add bulk to his frame over the next couple years.
ACCURACY:
Hunter's throws a perfect touch pass, able to hit in all areas of the field. He throws a very catchable ball, one made with a tight spiral. Showing good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes.
ARM STRENGTH:
He can hit his receivers in all areas of the field, showing good strength in arm. Strong delivery at the short and intermediate range and throws made with tight trajectory, vertically down the field.
RELEASE:
Working with an over the top delivery and a fully extended arm motion, he gets the ball off in a hurry.
THROW ON RUN:
Shows very good quickness getting to the outside, while his eyes are focused downfield. Solid body rotation, working towards his target and releases the ball with strong forward momentum.
FOOTWORK:
Hunter displays good footwork on his dropbacks as well as prior to setups. Good speed and quickness out in the open field.
POISE:
Demonstrates the ability to lead his team downfield with a strong desire to compete. He works quickly from the pocket.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very good at picking up on defensive pressure, while making space for himself within the pocket. Able to step up in the pocket, or roll to either side as he surveys the field for potential targets.
DECISION MAKING:
Shows good patience as he waits for the play to develop. He’s able to pick a defense apart with his soft release passes that get just over zone coverage or in between tight areas of space.
TOUCH:
This is a major area of strength for Hunter. He’s able to make plays within the secondary that are made with a soft release and good trajectory. Has a knack for finding gaps within the secondary coverage.
