SIZE:
Ian has good size for a 2024 Dual Threat QB at 5'11" 190 lbs. One tough competitor. A strong running QB who takes on would be tacklers. Difficult to take down in the backfield with lower body strength.
ACCURACY:
He does a nice job getting the ball to his receivers. Throws are in-line and on target with good placement, allowing for his receivers to make a play on it.
ARM STRENGTH:
Ian can make any throw. His throws are make with high velocity along with tight rotational spin. Can also take something off for a softer release.
RELEASE:
A left handed passer with an over the top delivery and high release point. A quick release, getting the ball out in a hurry.
THROW ON RUN:
Good mobility getting to the outside while still maintaining his focus downfield. Works well to square up with his intended target.
FOOTWORK:
Good speed and quickness at 4.85/40. Good elusiveness and mobility out in the open field.
POISE:
Works from a pocket passer to a dual threat quite easily. He’s comfortable in either role.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good agility within the pocket, able to break away from incoming pressure.
DECISION MAKING:
Ian works well picking up on his best option receiver.
TOUCH:
This is an area of strength for Ian. Not only does he have a strong arm, he’s also able to ease off for a softer delivery.
