Jake has good size for a 2024 Pro Style QB at 5'11" 160 lbs. I like how this QB plays. He's all business. Attacking the defense while spraying darts throughout the field. Stands tall in the pocket, showing good patience and toughness. He works out of a spread formation, delivering quick hitters.
ACCURACY:
Sharp precision passing at short/intermediate range. Sound throwing mechanics, leaving minimal deviation.
ARM STRENGTH:
Jake can fire it in with high velocity. A quick release, getting the ball to his receivers in a hurry. Able to thread the needle within coverage. Solid vertical game, able to go long when the opportunity strikes.
RELEASE:
His throws are made with an over the top delivery and full arm extension. Solid footwork prior to set up.
THROW ON RUN:
Most comfortable in the pocket but can get to the outside with good athleticism. Nice job avoiding traffic while moving laterally, maintaining his focus downfield. Squares up with strong forward momentum.
FOOTWORK:
Displays a quick first step. Not considered a Dual Threat but can pick up yardage on short down situations.
POISE:
Jake's a very confident QB who’s perfecting his craft. Good awareness of the space around him, demonstrating a calm under pressure.
POCKET PRESENCE:
He sets up in a hurry while showing good patience as he waits for the play to develop. Good awareness of pressure, using his internal clock to get the ball off on time.
DECISION MAKING:
An intelligent QB who picks up on his best option receiver. Works through from his primary to secondary outlets.
TOUCH:
He’s able to work in a soft toss in between coverage.
