SIZE:
JJ has excellent size for a 2025 Dual Threat QB at 6’2” 180 lbs. Not many QB's come across as having that "it" factor. JJ has it. He's smooth in everything that he does on the field. From his delivery to his poise to his ability to take over a game.
ACCURACY:
A major area of strength. His throws are right on the mark, hitting his receivers while in stride. Able to work within tight areas of space, making the adjustments needed to his delivery. Shows solid ball placement and touch.
ARM STRENGTH:
JJ can hit in all areas of the field with strong velocity throws. His short and intermediate throws are made of sharp precision, pierces through the defense. Able to stretch the defense with his vertical game, creating opportunities underneath.
RELEASE:
Excellent throwing mechanics which are well balanced and consistent. He throws with an over the top, fully extended arm motion. He’s able to generate momentum throughout his delivery, creating strong velocity.
THROW ON RUN:
He’s a pure Dual Threat, able to work inside as a pocket passer or get to the outside to deliver a strike. Displays very good mobility and quickness on the go, while surveying the field.
FOOTWORK:
JJ is well polished on his footwork, especially on his drop backs and set ups. Quick footed with well balanced spacing in stride.
POISE:
JJ's a leader on the field, inspiring his teammates with his determination and competitive level. He’s very confident in his abilities as a QB and shows calm while in pressured situations.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good awareness of defensive pressure, able to set up in the pocket or break out to create added space for himself. Very agile QB, who does a nice job while in traffic.
DECISION MAKING:
JJ works the entire field, seeking out big play opportunities. He’s got many weapons at his disposable and can be quite deadly while on the go. A playmaker on the field, who is best when he improvises while on the go.
TOUCH:
A very good touch pass QB, able to ease of the velocity of his throws, while creating a softer release. Skilled at getting the ball up and over or in between zone coverage.
