SIZE:
Juw-el has good size for a 2023 Dual Threat QB at 6'1" 167 lbs. A versatile QB who works fluidly from a pocket passer to a dual threat. Very good speed out in the open field at a 4.65/40.
ACCURACY:
This has been an area he's really worked to improve on over the off season. Creating more consistency with his throwing motion, adding to his accuracy. Throws are in-line with good anticipation and timing.
ARM STRENGTH:
Juw-el generates a tight rotational spin on the ball. Able to extend the field with a legit vertical passing game. Throws made with tight trajectory. with further distance and efficient trajectory.
RELEASE:
Throwing mechanics are consistent and very well put together. An over the top delivery, includes a fully extended arm motion.
THROW ON RUN:
The complete package, a proven pocket passer with the ability to take it in and go. He’s a defense’s worst nightmare when he gets to the outside, many weapons in his arsenal.
FOOTWORK:
An athletic QB who's very competitive. Displays a quick first step and can turn up the burners when needed. Excellent footwork within the pocket, moving quickly laterally as he works to create space.
POISE:
Juw-el's play on the field ignites others around him to want to excel.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Does a great job detecting the pass rush, able to escape while displaying his playmaking abilities.
DECISION MAKING:
He’s very decisive when he sees a weakness within the defense. Striking while the irons hot. Would like to see him stay in the pocket with more patience before taking off.
TOUCH:
Able to create a softer release when the situation calls for it. Tight trajectory on throws downfield.
