SIZE:
Karson has good size for a 2024 Pro Style QB at 6'2" 195 lbs. He’s a pure pocket passer, able to sit in the pocket with a tall platform and very good vision. Should be able to add to his size over these next few years, tall and lengthy frame.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers with very good timing and ball placement. He can pick apart a defense with his ability to spot openings within zone coverage. Very good touch on his delivery, making for a catchable ball.
ARM STRENGTH:
Much improved arm strength with a quick zip of the ball. Throws made with high velocity, piercing the defense. Able to extend the field with his vertical game.
RELEASE:
Karson displays consistent throwing mechanics which leads to better accuracy. An over the top passer with a highly extended arm release.
THROW ON RUN:
He shows good mobility getting to the outside, leading with ball in hand as he seeks out potential targets. Displays quickness in step while getting to the outside. Solid body rotation as he squares up to his receivers.
FOOTWORK:
Displays good lateral movement while creating additional space for himself. Can work to improve on his drop backs but sets up quite nicely with good balance and stride.
POISE:
This is another area of strength for Karson, he’s very calm under pressure, showing good patience. A confident QB who trusts in his abilities.
POCKET PRESENCE:
He’s got a good read on defensive pressure, able to get the ball off quickly.
DECISION MAKING:
His accuracy is helped by his ability to locate his best option receiver, making the right call and hitting the mark quickly. With more game experience, he'll continue to work through his progressions.
TOUCH:
This is his best attribute as a passer. He does a great job delivering a soft release when needed.
