I am a multi-sport athlete and this is my second season playing QB. In addition to being the starting QB, I am the starting center and power forward on my AAU basketball team. I am a leader on and off the field. I have a high football IQ for learning new offenses and reading defenses. I come from a family of former college football players. I currently have an offer to play QB at Faulkner University.

Scouting Report

SIZE:
Lucas has very good size for a 2023 Dual Threat QB at 6'2" 175 lbs. A tough QB with a strong running game, willing to take on would-be tacklers for additional yardage. Good height, able to see over the line of scrimmage while surveying the field.
ACCURACY:
His throws are made in line with his receivers, giving them the ability to make a play on it. Tight trajectory. Solid ball placement.
ARM STRENGTH:
Lucas gets the ball to his receivers in a hurry. His short and intermediate throws get in between tight windows of space. Able to extend the field with his vertical game.
RELEASE:
Lucas throws with a very high release point, adding lift to his throws. An over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion, getting the ball off in a hurry.
THROW ON RUN:
A very athletic QB who can make plays out in the open field. He’s very quick getting to the outside, showing good body rotation and positioning.
FOOTWORK:
Good mobility within the pocket. Solid footwork on his drop backs and set ups. Would like to see him improve on his speed, creating separation from the defenders.
POISE:
Good awareness of defensive pressure. Will be able to gain more confidence in his playmaking ability with more game experience.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very comfortable in the pocket, able to assess the defense while executing the play. Can serve either as a pocket passer or a dual threat.
DECISION MAKING:
This is an area Lucas will continue to work at better better at with more game experience.
TOUCH:
Has good touch, able to get the ball in between zone coverage, making plays with a catchable ball. Solid trajectory on his long range throws.
