SIZE:
Maddox has good size for a 2028 Dual Threat QB at 5'8" 125 lbs. He’s a tough competitor on the field with a strong desire to win. He sets the tone of the game when on the field. Has that "it" factor.
ACCURACY:
When Maddox is in the game plays are being made and the scoreboard lights up. He can hit from anywhere. Whether it comes from on the run or in the pocket, his throwing motion remains consistent.
ARM STRENGTH:
He can let it rip for way back with high velocity throws. His vertical passing game is deadly because of the threat of his running ability.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery with an arm motion that comes from way back. Sounds throwing mechanics and footwork prior to set up.
THROW ON RUN:
Get's to the outside in a hurry, seeking out potential targets. Very dangerous out in the open field because of his dual threat capabilities.
FOOTWORK:
He’s very elusive out in the open field. Very difficult to contain once he breaks free. Good vision while on the run.
POISE:
Good feel of incoming pressure, able to work away from traffic. Waits patiently for his receivers to complete their routes.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Able to step up in the pocket or move laterally when needed. Excellent agility.
DECISION MAKING:
Nice job going through his progressions while on the fly. He’s an intelligent QB who seeks out big gain opportunities.
TOUCH:
Good touch in all areas of the field, short, intermediate and long. He’s skilled at taking something off his throws when needed.
