SIZE:
Maddox has good size for a 2025 Pro Style QB at 6'0" 180 lbs. Works well with fluid mobility in and around the pocket for added space. Attacks the defense with quick hitters as he squares up with his intended target.
ACCURACY:
His throws are on target, getting to his receivers with good ball placement and timing. Has thrown for a 70% completion rate this past season.
ARM STRENGTH:
He can make all of the throws required of him. High velocity throws made at short and intermediate range. Solid vertical passing game. Can work to add a tighter trajectory at longer distances.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery with a full arm extension. Works well to set up prior to delivery.
THROW ON RUN:
Maddox works best outside the pocket where he’s most comfortable. Shows good speed and quickness working to the outside. Good rotation and follow through.
FOOTWORK:
Well balanced stride on his dropbacks. Good speed and quickness out in the open field.
POISE:
Very calm under pressure, maintaining his focus downfield. With more game experience, Maddox continue to perfect his craft.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good awareness of the space around him, able to step up or move laterally to avoid the pressure.
DECISION MAKING:
He works within the pocket with good patience. Making throws of high completion, avoiding tight coverage situations.
TOUCH:
His throws are very catchable, including a softer touch when needed.
