SIZE:
Maddox has very good size for a 2026 Dual Threat QB at 6’1” 175 lbs. He’s a quick hitting QB who gets the ball out in a hurry. Very mobile within the pocket, able to improvise while on the go. A tall lengthy QB who'll be able to add bulk onto his frame.
ACCURACY:
His throws are right on the mark. Sharp precision passing at short/intermediate range. Loses some consistency while on the run.
ARM STRENGTH:
His throws include high velocity with increased acceleration throughout his arm motion. Strong vertical passing game with long throws made downfield.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery, including a high release point. He shows good footwork as he works into his set up.
THROW ON RUN:
This is an area of strength for Maddox. Displays good quickness and speed as he works to the outside. Strong forward momentum on his throws, as he locks in on his target.
FOOTWORK:
Very good agility within the pocket, moving laterally while creating additional space for himself.
POISE:
Good feel for incoming pressure. He’s a confident QB who not afraid to take chances downfield.
POCKET PRESENCE:
He uses the entire backfield as his work area. Can sit in the pocket or take it to the outside, opening up additional passing lanes.
DECISION MAKING:
Very impressed with his ability to work through his progressions. Picks up on big play opportunities downfield.
TOUCH:
He delivers a catchable ball with just enough air underneath.
