Mason has good size for a 2024 Dual Threat QB at 6’1” 180 lbs. He's Houdini in the pocket, very difficult to pin down. Very good agility, as he slips past defenders, seeking out open spaces. Strong throws made downfield. A playmaker who will always keep a defense guessing. Catch him if you can.
ACCURACY:
His throws are right on the mark, hitting his receivers while in stride. Works well within tight areas of space, making angle adjustments needed to his delivery. Solid ball placement and touch.
ARM STRENGTH:
Mason can hit in all areas of the field. His short and intermediate throws include high velocity, piercing the defense. Able to stretch the field with a dangerous vertical passing game, creating opportunities at closer distance.
RELEASE:
Good throwing mechanics which are well balanced and consistent. An over the top delivery, fully extended arm motion. Generates increased momentum throughout his delivery.
THROW ON RUN:
He’s a pure Dual Threat, able to work inside as a pocket passer or get to the outside to deliver a strike. Displays very good mobility and quickness on the go while surveying the field.
FOOTWORK:
Very polished with his footwork. Quick footed QB with well balanced stride. Above average speed out in the open field, able to create separation.
POISE:
A leader on the field, inspiring his teammates with his determination and toughness. Caleb's very confident in his abilities as a QB and displays a calm while in pressured situations.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good awareness of pressure, able to set up in the pocket or break out to create added space for himself. Very agile QB, who does a nice job while in traffic.
DECISION MAKING:
He works the entire field, seeking out big play opportunities. Many weapons at his disposable and can be quite deadly while on the go. A playmaker who is best when he improvises while on the go.
TOUCH:
A very good touch pass QB, able to ease of the velocity of his throws, while creating a softer release. Masterful at working the ball in between zone coverage.
