SIZE:
Matthew has good size for a 2025 Pro Style QB at 6'0" 185 lbs. He's very comfortable as a pocket passer. Delivers the ball with a tall platform with good vision. High release point for added lift to his delivery.
ACCURACY:
When given time, he’s right on the mark with his throws. Consistent throwing motion with sound mechanics. Loses a bit on accuracy while on the go.
ARM STRENGTH:
A strong throwing QB who can make all throws required of him. His short and intermediate game includes high velocity throws that get through the defense in a hurry. Solid vertical passing game, extending the field with good arm strength.
THROW ON RUN:
Does a nice job getting to the outside of the pocket while remaining focused downfield. His throws include strong forward momentum in the direction of his target.
FOOTWORK:
Matthew works well in the pocket with good mobility and agility. Not considered a Dual Threat but can take the ball in for short yardage gain.
POISE:
Good control of his offensive unit. Confident in his abilities as a QB, not afraid to be aggressive with his throws.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good patience, able to sit back and wait for the play to develop. Good sense of the space around him.
DECISION MAKING:
An
intelligent QB who makes the right call based on defensive scheme. Able to work through his receiver options, processing reads quickly.
TOUCH:
His throws include a soft touch and tight trajectory. Makes adjustments to velocity depending on the passing situation.
