Scouting Report

SIZE:
Paxton has good size for a 2027 Pro Style QB at 5’9” 165 lbs. He’s a durable QB with lower body strength. Very difficult to take down on his runs, picking up additional yards.
ACCURACY:
Displays very good throwing mechanics, making consistent throws that are in-line and on time. Precision passing at all levels, doesn’t lose much on deeper passes.
ARM STRENGTH:
A strong armed QB who can hit at any range from inside the pocket. High velocity throws that get to his receivers in a hurry.
RELEASE:
Paxton has an over the top delivery, at a three quarter arm motion, giving his throws a compact quick delivery. Sound mechanics as he works through his arm motion.
THROW ON RUN:
A quick footed QB who can work to the outside with good speed and mobility. Squares up with his intended target.
FOOTWORK:
An agile QB who can get out of trouble while still maintaining the play. Able to move in all directions with a quick first step.
POISE:
Paxton has strong confidence in his abilities, ready to prove his worth as QB. A true competitor who leads by example.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good sense of the pressure around him, able to set up or side step away from traffic.
DECISION MAKING:
With more game reps, he'll improve on working through his progressions as he locates his best option receiver.
TOUCH:
Good blend of throwing variations. Able to adjust the velocity of his throws, from quick hitters to soft toss fades.
