Pierson has very good size for a 2028 Pro Style QB at 6'2" 185 lbs. This QB works methodically while attacking the defense. He’s a quick hitting QB who gets the ball out in a hurry. A high release point, adding lift to his delivery.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, showing very good ball placement. Works well with his receivers as he waits patiently for their breaks. Good anticipation and timing.
ARM STRENGTH:
Displays a strong release on his short and intermediate routes. Good zip on the ball, including a tight spiral. He can spread the field with excellent range. Tight trajectory with throws made downfield.
RELEASE:
Pierson has an over the top delivery with a full extension. He gets the ball out in a hurry with a fluid throwing motion.
THROW ON RUN:
Good mobility as he works to the outside. Works well to square up with his intended target.
FOOTWORK:
Well balanced stride on his dropbacks. Can work to add quickness in step.
POISE:
Has a take charge mentality when on the field. Very calm under pressure. In the zone while picking apart a defense.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very good sense of the space around him. Able to work his way around traffic while still focusing on the play.
DECISION MAKING:
Quick reads as he connects with his initial targets. Throws made of high percentage with excellent ball placement.
TOUCH:
Does a nice job easing off the velocity of his delivery for a softer touch when needed.
