I grew up playing baseball and joined the Varsity team as a fourth string QB. To get on the field early, I became the long snapper in addition to my back up duties. I was fortunate enough to get a shot in the first game of my Junior season and won the QB1 job throwing for 1,395 yards and 8TDs through 8 games. I am still learning the position and putting in a lot of off-season training. I am very thankful to all who helped me along my journey and looking forward to a fantastic Senior season in 2023.

Scouting Report

SIZE:
Samuel has good size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6’1” 160 lbs. Picked up some valuable varsity game experience this past season. He should be able to add bulk to his frame over the next year. A high release point, adding height to his throws.
ACCURACY:
Most of his throws are quick hitters from a spread formation. High percentage throws which include anticipation and timing of his receivers routes. His throws are on a rope, tight trajectory.
ARM STRENGTH:
Strong vertical passing game. Hits in all areas of the field with good range and throws made of high velocity.
THROW ON RUN:
Samuel displays good mobility and quickness out in the open field. Strong forward momentum on his delivery.
FOOTWORK:
Displays solid footwork on his drop backs as well as prior to his set ups before delivery. Will continue to add speed and acceleration in his game.
POISE:
He’s competed at the Varsity level, adding valuable playing experience. Very comfortable in his abilities as a QB and will only continue to add to his confidence as a Field General.
POCKET PRESENCE:
This is where Samuel works best. He’s able to see the entire field as he locates his primary targets.
DECISION MAKING:
He's a quick hitting QB who’s able to pick up on his initial reads. Very decisive with his throws.
TOUCH:
A touch QB who can get the ball over the top on fade routes or in between zone coverage.
