Scouting Report

SIZE:
Shane has very good size for a 2025 Pro Style QB at 5’9” 140 lbs. He works well in the pocket, able to stand tall and fire the ball into the secondary. Shows good patience as he waits for his receivers to get open. Strong throwing QB who accelerated forward momentum.
ACCURACY:
His throws are right on the mark, with good ball location and timing. Able to maintain his accuracy, whether he’s in the pocket or on the run. Very good body positioning as he sets to deliver the ball.
ARM STRENGTH:
This is an area of strength for Shane. He’s able to extend the field with his vertical throws or thread the needle within the secondary with high velocity passes.
RELEASE:
He throws with an over the top delivery that comes across with a fully extended arm motion. High release point, giving his throws added lift.
THROW ON RUN:
He does a nice job working to the outside with good quickness and footwork. Most comfortable within the pocket but displays good athleticism while on the go.
FOOTWORK:
A nice compliment to his passing game is his ability to run with the ball when needed. Very good footwork on his back drops and set ups.
POISE:
Shane’s very confident in his abilities as a QB, not easily distracted by the noise around him. Shows good awareness of defensive pressure as he works around it.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very good agility in and around the pocket, able to get away from traffic while seeking out a safe zone for himself.
DECISION MAKING:
He does a nice job working through his options while surveying the field. Will be able to work with his reads and progressions with more game experience.
TOUCH:
A strong throwing QB who's working to make the right adjustment to his delivery, creating a softer release at short and intermediate range. His deep passes include solid trajectory with just enough air underneath.
